We have a long and rich history dating all the way back to 1982! Check out our timeline and location photos below!
1982
Winar Connection Inc. was founded by Bill Winar, Jim Winar, Roy Winar and George Rees. They started the company because they knew the products well, knew the customers and the suppliers. It took guts to go out on their own and start the company but the relationships were in place to make it a successful endeavor. Started out with a 2,000 square foot storefront in Brookpark, Ohio.
1984
Company purchased the old post office in Independence, Ohio. This building spanned 5,000 square feet.1988 - Purchased a Competitor
Purchased a friendly competitor named #1 Sales that was based out of Aurora, Ohio. A win-win accusation because they had the ETC/Molex line and Cooper Crouse hinds lines as well.
1994 - More Growth
Added a 20,000 sq. foot office and manufacturing facility to Richfield building to allow for continued growth.
2010 - Increased Production
Purchased a second ecs-35 to increase production.
2014 - Retirement
It was time for retirement. Bill and George wanted to retire and sell to their sons who they felt would help grow the company more than they could. It was a win-win transition. Bill and George had two rules, don’t screw it up and don’t change the company motto.
2015
Winar Connection moved into a new state of the art 30,000 sq. foot facility in Richfield. Designed to be more conducive to manufacturing our product.2018 - A Big Purchase
Purchased our third big cutting machine.
2019 - A Second Schleuniger crimp center
Purchased a second Schleuniger crimp center from a friendly competitor.
